Abstract

In this study, within the framework of Latour’s Actor-Network Theory, the role of Tan Newspaper, which was published in Kosovo between 1969 and 1999, in the political, educational, cultural-artistic, economic, and Turkish language preservation efforts of the Kosovo Turkish community is examined. The research is based on oral history interviews conducted with five former journalists of the newspa-per. The data obtained from these interviews were analyzed using qualitative content analysis with the MaxQDA software. The analysis focuses on how journalists perceived the key issues of the Kosovo Turkish community and how these issues were reflected in the newspaper’s pages. The study reveals that Tan Newspaper was not only a means of communication but also a tool for preserving cultural identity and drawing attention to social issues. The integration of first-hand testimonies with qualitative content analysis enhances the historical and methodological significance of the study.
