Empowering Environmental Sustainability: Islamic Values and Their Synergy with the SDGs

Abstract
This research delves into the connection between Islamic beliefs and sustainability by showcasing how values drawn from the Quran and Sunnah offer a distinctive and long-lasting structure for sustainable progress. The teachings of Islam promote equilibrium, fairness and environmental guardianship showcasing their harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. Through combining spiritual aspects this study examines how Islamic values, like taking care of the environment ensuring fair resource allocation and practicing moderation—can tackle present day global issues. The study uses an approach to examine important Islamic texts and their interpretations in order to gain understanding of how these values can be applied in various aspects such as social issues and the environment or economy department effectively. The results show that Islamic principles not work well with contemporary sustainability methods but also provide a unique ethical and spiritual viewpoint that boosts sustainability efforts in the long run. In contrast to systems of thought Islamic teachings stress the need for balance between advancement and ethical responsibility resulting in advantages, for current and future generations alike. This research adds to the conversation about sustainability by showing how Islamic principles offer a holistic framework, for promoting a harmonious and moral way of progress while underscoring their significance in addressing urgent worldwide challenges.
