Foundations and Trends in the Classification of Sciences among Muslim Thinkers

Abstract
This research addresses one of the most prominent tributaries of Islamic epistemology through the historical trace of the legacy of the philosophy of classification of sciences in the Islamic heritage. The research analyzes the methodological transformations that have marked the history of general scientific work among Muslims, which was particularly evident in the three schools of classification of sciences, which are, respectively: rational, religious, and scientific. These are the schools whose classification philosophies are linked to traditional philosophical, fundamentalist religious and progressive scientific foundations.
